As the Destination Marketing arena becomes increasingly complex, DMOproZ strives to provide an easily accessed Knowledge Bank for DMO pros around the world. From White Papers to cutting edge Research to our recommendations on books to make you think, videos to encourage your creativity and blogs to keep you current.

And, we want this to be a two-way street. When you see a great resource that would be a benefit to the DMO collective, shoot it our way and we'll post it up for your peers.

Aretha-franklin-columbiaSo white hot was her talent, Aretha Franklin was being called "The Queen of Soul" within three years of her debut. Fourteen years before MTV made music videos popular, Aretha shot one for her first hit, "Respect." No female singer has charted more hits in Billboard magazine. And, Aretha was the first female inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. So, yeah.

On this Music Friday, we celebrate her life with a bundle of links. "Chain of Fools" from the '60s (and the movie Michael). "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" from 1971. "Freeway of Love" with Clarence Clemons from the '80s. A 1990s performance of the Les Miz classic "I Dreamed a Dream." "Baby I Love You" from the 25th Annual Rock Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2009. And, from just a few years ago, "Rock of Ages" from her Father's church in Detroit.

We have been so blessed.
