Going Nutless

DE483277-2The increase of food allergies has really mushroomed over the past year…at least on the flights I’ve had to endure. Fully half of this month’s trips by air have been nutless. And, it’s not just that flight attendants won’t serve them. Passengers are now being told not to open their own containers of nuts when onboard.

Which compelled a guy waiting to board the other day to offer an amazing rant to his partner. “Why does the whole plane have to do without because of one person’s problem. What ever happened to the ‘needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few?’ Why don’t they bring a freaking mask, rather than inconvenience everyone else?”

When his traveling companion told him to calm down, he got up, looked around for a store and said, “I’m gonna go buy me some peanuts.”

I shake my head every day at the people with whom we are forced to fly.
