Visitors Mean Jobs: The Illinois Campaign

In 2004, Illinois' Governor proposed slashing the State's Tourism Budget in half. The Tourism Industry responded rapidly, developing the highly successful "Visitors Mean Jobs" campaign that, ultimately, resulted in the Governor backing down from the proposed cuts.
